Developers Dinofarm Games have bought their award winning puzzle game to Android. Originally developed for the iPhone, Auro has you playing as the titular Prince Auro, as he ventures through procedurally generated dungeons set in an original fantasy universe.
Dinofarm Games aren’t strangers to the rogue-like genre having previously released 100-Rogues, a highly praised and humorous dungeon crawler, and describe Auro as a deep action puzzler and with an interesting and balanced system of gameplay.
Each dungeon is comprised of a hexagonal grid made from a variety of the five available terrain types and uses a turn based system. Players must use their skills and magical spells to repel monsters, knocking them off the edges of the board into the water below, bumping them about with strategy rather than relying on brute force and stalwart defences.
Players can collect up to nine unique spells to help them in their quest, and there are over 30 tutorial levels to help you sharpen your monster
Auro has a colourful cast of monster and character sprites, and features an original thematic soundtrack, which the team at Dinofarm Games hope will keep you entertained for years.
Auro is available on Google Play for $2.99, and you can get it here.
