Nominations for the 11th International Mobile Game Awards (IMGA) have been announced, ahead of the award ceremony being held in March to recognize and reward the developers of some of last year’s most deserving games.
The IMGA is voted on by a panel of publishers, developers, journalists, and other experts from the mobile gaming industry and this year features nine categories being judged. The categories are Excellence in Innovation, Guilty Pleasure, Best Meaningful Play, Best Quickplay Game, Excellence in Storytelling, Excellence in Gameplay, Best Upcoming Game, Best Technical Achievement, Best Multiplayer Game, and Excellence in Audio Visual & Design.
Over 90 titles have been nominated, including Telltale’s Game of Thrones and The Wolf Among Us, and even Kardashian Hollywood for Excellence in Storytelling.Valiant Hearts: The Great War and Papers, Please are up for Best Meaningful Play. Papers, Please is also nominated for Excellence in Gameplay, alongside other titles FTL: Faster Than Light and Wayward Souls. XCOM: Enemy Within and Word Of Tanks: Blitz will be competing for Best Technical Achievement, and Sometimes You Die and Monument Valley have both been Nominated for Excellence In Innovation.
