Platforming fans, rejoice! The delightfully strange Avner has made its way to the Play Store.
Avner is a 2D action-puzzle game set in a 3D environment, similar to games like Trine or Littlebigplanet. The player controls the titular hero Avner, a goofy looking hero trapped in a strange world and captured by a traveling circus. From here on, players must guide Avner through this bizarre world and try to find a way back home.
Avner is not your normal weirdo though – he also has control over gravity, which he can use to manipulate himself or the environment around him. This leads to some interesting physics-based challenges that Avner must overcome in order to reach the end of the level.
The game is meant to combine two core elements: The first is to create a fast-paced game that requires dexterity and speed while the second maintains a strong puzzle solving core.
The game was developed by Doron Weiss and Gil Elnekave of indie studio Corbomite Games. In addition to the Play Store release, Avner is also set to drop for iOS and Windows mobile phone.
We recommend you guys give it a try. The game is fun and should satisfy any platforming fans looking for a quick, free fix
