Patch In The Knights
From Sandbox Interactive, Albion Online recently released Knightfall, a new, major content patch. Since the launch of the Albion East Asian server back in March, Knightfall is its first-ever large patch. Within the patch comes new items, a new trader NPC and new features added to the Mists. Plus, there’s a new dungeon to explore called Knightfall Abbey. Along with other general improvements, Knightfall might be the one of the best updates for Albion Online.
Significant additions to the game involve the new NPC and new cosmetic items. Living in Brecilien, Eralia Wayfarer will only trade with high-ranking adventurers. The new items she has are Avalonian and Brecilien capes along with Mystic Owl mounts. Her capes provide different defense abilities while the mount can carry adventures wherever they wish. To trade with her, players need thousands of Brecilien standing and hundreds of favor. Expect a lot of grinding before going to her. Eralia can be found in the middle of the city on the second floor.
With Knightfall Abbey, players can explore a stone dungeon adorned with colorful stained-glass windows. In the dungeon resides many treasures and even shrines, offering different buffs to make players more powerful. Any player can find the dungeon and either interact or battle each other for the winnings. Rewards include Coffers, only revealing their locations with players nearby, and Caches, individualized loot for a player that sweeps a mob camp. A lot of these are only available for a limited time, so don’t miss out.
The general improvements for Albion Online concern the Roads of Avalon and some quality-of-life items. Roads of Avalon not only has bigger mob frequency, but also brand-new enemies, like Crystal Spiders. They’re aggressive, though only attack after provocation. Defeating one will provide both Might and Favor, along with runes, souls, relics and more. Plus, there are new off-road paths to explore, and some mobs will now drop Avalonian Energy. Quality-of-life improvements include an optional WASD movement system and mobile and controller optimizations. Not to mention a player’s character gender can now be changed after spending some gold. A win for inclusivity.
