Test it Out
The closed beta test for the JRPG Alice Fiction has begun as of March 27th. Entertainment company led and founded by CEO Tomoki Tsunekawa WonderPlanet Inc., announced in February it would be implementing a closed beta test. WonderPlanet Inc. increased the number of closed beta participants from 3,500 to 5,000 because of the high volume of applications. This will help their design team obtain feedback from the community and conduct maintenance to fine-tune the game accordingly for its summer release. Applications for the closed beta opened on February 28th and WonderPlanet announced the winners of the lottery to participate on Friday, March 25th.
WonderPlanet sent out an email to winning players on how to access their closed beta. The email also included precautions of participating in a closed beta, and information on sweepstakes and giveaways. Players who post their impressions of the closed beta through [in-game announcement] will be entered into a drawing to win in-game loot. Further details can be accessed via the [in-game announcement]. Additionally, WonderPlanet will select 20 players within the closed beta to win Amazon.com eGift cards worth $50.
Verses in the Metaverse
Female vocalist DAZBEE provides the vocals for Alice Fiction’s theme song, which is a cover of FantasticYouth’s Non-reality Escape. Korean sound mixer ETSi produced the track. More details on this will come from the game’s official Twitter account.
The developers of Alice Fiction categorize it as an “RPG in Wonder Metaverse” which is a rather cryptic genre. Presumably, the game will take place in the same universe as the companies’ previous releases and will see the return of characters from said releases. The game will release globally for Android and requires iOS, and Android: 5 or higher and/or iOS: 11 or higher to run it. Other noteworthy WonderPlanet, Inc. releases include Crash Fever, Jumputi Heroes, and Konosuba Fantastic Days. Keep an eye out for this release and a Hardcore Droid review if you enjoyed any of those titles.
