Auto-Chess Announces Comeback
Another entry in the gacha genre makes its way to Google Play this month. Arcana Tactics promises to be “a real challenge for all true gamers”. This is something of a triumphant return for Arcana Tactics. The Korea-based Tikitaka Studios originally published the title early last year to much admiration. Unfortunately, the studio was briefly shutdown and fans considered it a true loss. That is, until GAMEVIL bought out the studio and announced the game’s return to app stores.
Glorious Gacha Goodness
In Arcana Tactics, the gacha aspect takes a backseat to the actual Tactics element. The gameplay should be familiar to those experienced in the auto-chess strategy battler style of play. The goal being to collect a wide variety of heroes–also referred to as Arcana Cards–to strategically deploy on the grid-style battlefield. Each Arcana Card features a lovely illustration of your hero. Which then becomes an adorable chibi model on the battlefield.
The feature fans seem to really enjoy is the reportedly quite fleshed-out Hero Fusion system. This comes with a built-in reference table. Meaning players will know exactly which of the game’s 139 heroes to fuse. A handy feature that similar games badly need. Not only does Arcana Tactics feature a story mode, but it boasts an arena mode. As well as multiplayer battles in which players pit their fusions against each other.
Arcana Tactics is available for download right now on both Google Play and iOS.
