Best Android Games of March 2021

The month of March has the dubious distinction of kind of being the Wednesday of the year. It’s the dull lull between winter and spring, when everything’s melting or rainy and the sun hasn’t yet decided to show up to turn the world green. What better time to stay inside with a few excellent Android games? And if the sun does make a temporary appearance, because these games are portable, you can always venture into the scary outdoors for a while and keep playing. This month, Hardcore Droid’s list of the best Android games of March 2021 contains a little something for everyone.

5. Sniper Online

First up is a shooter by developer FTGame, Sniper Online, a title that focuses entirely on sniping opponents while offering an unexpected amount of depth and polish. Excelling at this first-person shooter requires skill, timing, a little luck…and perhaps a good investment in perks and improvements for your weapon. With in-game currency earned after each round, players can purchase from the generous range of customization options for both your sniper and his rifle. Upgrade your character’s stats, skin and abilities, or buy upgrades to tweak your gun’s stability, ammo capacity and zoom.

But what good is improving yourself and your gear with nobody to test your new skills on? Sniper Online has you covered there as well. In addition to the game’s career mode, you can go head to head with other players to fight for the top spot. Arena Competitions and Trophy Cup Tournaments feature a variety of game modes and allow you to battle players from around the world. Because Sniper Online takes place entirely, well, online, make sure that you have a good connection. Then show everybody who’s the best sniper on Android.

4. Tiny Fantasy

Minidragon is a mobile developer known for creating award-winning games that combine a cutesy aesthetic with engaging gameplay. Their latest release, which has the illustrious title of Tiny Fantasy: Epic Action Adventure RPG, maintains this trend. In this rogue-lite game, adorable, chibi-style characters battle their way through monsters in classic action RPG fashion. After taking down enough foes, your fighters will level up through the game’s simplified XP system and earn a random boon that lasts through that round. Invest a character’s attacks with an elemental charge, improve movement speed, and so on.

Tiny Fantasy was designed so that you can play it with only one hand if need be. Simplified controls allow you to drag on the screen toward enemies and unleash automated attacks. And although your individual characters can’t be customized, you can diversify your party by adding support members, each with unique designs, weapons and skills. While you might expect this stripped down play style to feel a bit lackluster, Tiny Fantasy manages to keep the gameplay appealing and fresh. So why not take this simplified yet highly addictive tiny gem for a spin?

3. Titan Quest Legendary Edition

In June 2006, a hack-and-slash action RPG developed by Iron Lore Entertainment launched on PC. The success of Titan Quest led to three expansions and ports to various platforms over the years. One of those ports was the well-received Android edition that released in 2016. More recently, the Legendary Edition, which includes all expansions and technical updates, became available on the Google Play Store.

Titan Quest features traditional ARPG gameplay: real-time combat, experience points, upgradeable equipment, skills and attributes, as well as NPCs who offer main story and side quests. At a time when the ancient Titans are cast down by the gods of Olympus, a golden age begins in the mortal world. Yet the scheming Titans break the Olympians’ connection to the world and summon armies of monsters to pave the way for their return. Set in Ancient Greece, Egypt, Babylon and the Silk Road leading to China, Titan Quest offers an epic adventure in which players must defeat the Titans and save the world.

2. Greedy Cats: Kitty Clicker

Sometimes you’re just in the mood for a laid back gaming experience filled with adorable cats gorging themselves on cake and donuts. Well, publisher Pikpok’s Greedy Cats: Kitty Clicker has you covered. The simulation game tosses you into a head-to-head competition with other ravenous kitties, and the goal is to see who can devour the most snacks. As your performance excels, you’ll earn coins, win trophies and gain a following of devoted fans.

With your winnings, you’ll be able to buy a range of outfits to customize your greedy cat. You can deck out your kitty in colorful hats, sunglasses, sailor suits and pumpkin costumes to make it stand out from the crowd. Then connect with your friends and share photos of your meowing munchers. And if that’s not enough to keep you busy, Greedy Cats’ limited-time events will have you coming back for more.

1. Dragon Tamer

Bekko Games’ Dragon Tamer has quite a few things to push it to the top of this list of the best Android games of March. Combining elements of classic RPGs and turn-based strategy games, Dragon Tamer sets you taming and breeding dragons in order to build an unstoppable draconian force. With over 100 dragon eggs to collect, you can breed new species, train your fledglings and discover new abilities. Then, lead your homegrown army into battle for rewards and a top spot on the game’s leaderboards.

Dragon Tamer isn’t all about preparing for a fight, however. The colorful and graphically pleasing 3D world features base building as well. On Dragon Island, you’ll construct farms, habitats and breeding grounds to care for your winged friends. With a little dedication, you’ll soon become a master dragon tamer as you uncover which environment is best suited to each dragon type and learn to nurture your beloved pets. Bekko Games has a winner on their hands with Dragon Tamer.
