Often I lie awake nights, wondering about the videogame industry. Where will it be in ten years? Will I be with it? Will it collapse under its own weight like it did in ’82? And where, by Jove, are all the games about proper gentlemen? Well, I know I can rest slightly easier knowing that Max Gentlemen is on its way to the Play Store.
Max Gentlemen, created by the same team behind the Oregon Trail: Director’s Cut, is an “arcade style extreme manners simulator” in which you stack hats on your head to prove your gentleman-ness, all while avoiding flying beer bottles and low-flying birds.
The gameplay is simple – you select your gentleman (one of the choices being Octodad himself. No, I am not kidding.) and you stack hats and try to rack up a high score, all while navigating the wiles of proper gentlemanly etiquette while facing off against rambunctious fellow gents and their uncouth potty mouths.
I got a chance to play this game at PAX East this past April and I loved it. It’s ridiculous, competitive doo-hickey that I do recommend you check out. Check out the trailer below and keep your eye on this one, I do declare.
