Game Careers

9 posts

Feature articles about game careers, with an emphasis on mobile games. Hardcore Droid has included a variety of articles about careers in the game industry.

Independent game developers have written articles about how they started making video games. We also post articles about how to become a games journalist. Additionally our staff write pieces on how to write and publish game reviews.

Some of our Game Careers articles describe jobs in gaming from the perspective of the individual. These pieces discuss how a professional made their way in the highly competitive game industry. In some cases these are interviews with industry game designers. Hardcore Droid also publishes articles written by game journalists. Often these describe the work of a content writer who focuses on gaming.

As with all of our articles, the question of how core gamers would enjoy a piece always remains in the forefront of our work.

This concept of core gamers and core gaming on mobile cuts to the central theme of Hardcore Droid. We celebrate mobile games, more particularly Android games that contain the depth, richness and narrative complexity of core video games.

Consequently, all of our articles, including those about game careers, loop back to the theme of core gaming on Android. To this end we prefer to consider and discuss, often in an offhand way, paid mobile games over free mobile games.

Consequently, we write about, review and assess premium games over freemium titles. We are more likely to evaluate games that are sophisticated, multi-faceted and complex.
