Create Your Own Dojo!
The hit Netflix series Cobra Kai has entered the world of mobile games in the form of Cobra Kai: Card Fighter. Gamaga (the creators of Banana Kong) worked in conjunction with Boss Team Games to bring the martial arts saga to your phone screen. This fighting game starts right in the middle of the rivalry between the opposing dojos of Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do.
Cobra Kai: Card Fighter was dropped on both the App Store and Google Play. Like its namesake Netflix series, the turn-based fighting game is set 30 years after the original Karate Kid films. The game starts off with the option of becoming the head of either the Cobra Kai or the Miyagi-Do dojo. After choosing between the two dojos, what’s next is picking 16 characters to populate your dojo.
Expanding the dojo and training your students is one of the ways that you can level them up. There’s even an option to play online and fight against other players worldwide in order to climb up the rankings. It’s during this process that you get to play through different storylines. These storylines mimic the ones in the Netflix series.
The creators of the game promise future expansions that will include storylines from Season 3 of the Netflix series. Involved with the creation of the mobile title are the showrunners behind Cobra Kai. It looks like there’s a lot to look forward to within the Cobra Kai franchise. There’s even an official Discord server available for players to chat with each other and the game publishers!
