From developer Pearl Abyss, Black Desert is an MMORPG franchise with open-world action, crisp graphics and genre-redefining skill-based combat. Recently, Pearl Abyss announced that it’s adding a new player class and other updates during the annual community event. Black Desert already had several classes to choose from, including Archer and Ranger. However, the newest class, Drakania, had players eagerly awaiting its arrival. Descended from a legendary dragon, Drakania uses a sword to cut through enemies while dashing around the battlefield. Her main goal is to restore the dragon paradise. She even has a dragon heart in addition to her human heart. That dragon heart allows her to recover from injuries more quickly. Drakania certainly sounds like she’ll become a fan favorite.
As for the event, Heidel Ball, the developers are adding a few updates to the game. PvE area Field of Valor: Hadum now has players gaining ‘Knowledge’ of monsters to upgrade their character’s combat power. Through this, CP increases in less time. Other updates include ‘Party Rush,’ a 3-player co-op mode, and a 30 vs. 30 mode called ‘Battlefield of the Sun: Siege War.’ In addition, players will have a new region – Drieghan – to explore. Here, they can visit the dwarven capital of Duvencrune and face Garmoth the Crimson Dragon.
Pearl Abyss is also introducing a Fairy companion system. These Faries will give additional skills as players progress through the game. Lastly, there’s a surprise gift from the executive producer of Black Desert, called the Blessing of W. It’s a consumable enhancement material that players can use on Chaos Gear.
