Wheeling and Death Dealing
The Sydney-based studio Not Doppler announces that Earn to Die Rogue launches for Android and iOS on Thursday, May 9. The latest installment of the zombie-smashing diving series shakes up the formula with new rogue-lite platformer gameplay.
The new game features 15 zombie-infested platforming stages, including malls, warehouses, military bunkers, and more. Players can equip their character with over 25 pieces of equipment and over 30 different powerups. Gear in Earn to Die Rogue ranges from simple pistols to shotguns to jetpacks and advanced energy weapons.
Exploring these levels will unlock new upgrades for the game’s five unlockable vehicles, which players can use in Earn to Die Rogue’s Driving Mode. Among them are a sports car, a taco truck, and even a hovercraft. Driving sections also allow players to unlock new character rewards, bringing things full circle.
Earn to Die Rogue additionally features daily missions and a Heat Mode with extra challenges for more experienced players.
Not Doppler only started bringing its games to Android over the last few years. However, it’s been nearly a decade since Earn to Die 2 released for iOS in 2015. According to the studio, the previous game was #1 on the iOS paid charts in 135 countries. Meanwhile, the free-to-play version on Google Play has over 160 million downloads.
The new game is free-to-play on Android and iOS, with in-app purchases ranging from $0.99 to $99.99. Fans can pre-register now on Google Play and the App Store. Also, don’t forget to check back later for our upcoming Hardcore Droid review.
