Nomad Games just announced that their recent title, Fury of Dracula: Digital Edition, is on its way to mobile. Nomad Games is dedicated to bringing classic card and board games to the digital world, having adapted numerous titles such as Cat Lady and Talisman Origins. Now, Fury of Dracula: Digital Edition is coming to Android and iOS on February 17, 2021.
Fury of Dracula has a long history. Games Workshop released the original board game in 1987. It has since amassed a cult following as a pioneer in horror among the board game community. There have been various editions of the game throughout the years, and the first digital adaptation being in 2014. Since then, there have been multiple adaptations for PC and tablets. The most recent being the 2020 Steam release by Nomad Games. This is the version now being ported to Android and iOS.
Games Workshop designed the original board game for 2-4 players. However, Nomad’s Fury of Dracula: Digital Edition has three different modes for 1 to 5 players. There is a single-player mode as well as local and online multiplayer. Both multiplayer modes will allow up to five players in one game. Nomad Games have promised full tutorials to ensure that even a new player will have no issue jumping into the fray.
There’s no telling how different Fury of Dracula: Digital Edition will be from previous versions. The original game was essentially Clue. Instead of catching a murderer, players hunt down Dracula and stop him from taking over Europe. Dracula himself is a playable character, and the other characters are all taken from the eponymous novel by Bram Stoker. Keep an eye out for a Hardcore review to see if the mobile adaption will become a cult classic like the original!
