Argentinian game studio AVIX just dropped their newest visual puzzle game Hidden Lands on Google Play. AVIX has produced relaxing puzzle titles like Photo Puzzle: Swap and Photo Puzzle: Jigsaw. They’ve even partnered up with the Cartoon Network to bring titles like Beach City Drifters and Develobears to the table.
The creators of Hidden Lands mixed two different puzzle game mechanics: spot the difference and hidden object. AVIX promises an unlimited amount of levels to work your way through in Hidden Lands. Along with that claim, there are three ancient civilizations to explore and discover through the in-game quests. There’s the opportunity of recovering relics from these lost civilizations while traveling from island to island. And traveling from island to island is how the studio seems to have set up the puzzle mechanics. The trailer shows that once you’ve spotted the differences between two similar islands and located all the hidden objects, you can move on to the next stage.
Another claim is that there’s dynamic weather in the game, changing to match the geography of whatever island stage you’re at. To match that, there’s a soundtrack that is supposed to be soothing. AVIX set out to create a game that is relaxing and beautiful. They’ve created other puzzle titles in the past, but none of those titles has been as intricate as this one. Check out the Hardcore review to see if Hidden Lands is as relaxing as promised.
