New Characters, New Costumes
Chinese studio NetEase Games recently launched a crossover event between its game Identity V and the anime Bungo Stray Dogs. The new crossover event began on November 3rd and sees the Armed Detective Agency summoned to investigate the mysterious Oletus Manor. Characters Atsushi Nakajima, Rampo Edogawa and Osamu Dazai will need to use their uncommon abilities to survive Identity V’s deadly game.
Released in 2018 for Android, iOS and PC, Identity V is NetEase’s free-to-play asymmetrical multiplayer survival-horror game. Players take the role of Survivors trying to escape, or Hunters tasked with eliminating them one by one. NetEase adds new content and modes through regular updates and often crosses over with other horror or mystery franchises. Previous crossovers include the games Persona and Danganronpa, manga like The Promised Neverland and Tomie, and the film Edward Scissorhands. This is the second time Identity V has crossed over with Bungo Stray dogs, having first done so in September.
The three Bungo Stray Dogs characters arrive in ther form of alternate costumes for players to purchase from the game’s store. Identity V is also offering a limited-time discount. Players can get the Mercenary’s Atsushi Nakajima Costume for 20% off for the first week only. Meanwhile, the Prisoner’s Osamu Dazai Costume is 35% off when bundled with the Osamu Dazai’s Favorite Book Accessory.
Meanwhile, players who complete the Crossover Event can unlock new portrait frames and the Tiger Tail Accessory. The developer is also celebrating the Event by giving all players free gifts. These include the Painter’s Rampo Edogawa costume, his Rampo Edogawa’s Crossover Graffiti and Crossover Portrait, and the Painter’s Glasses accessory.
