Who Wants to Live Forever?
“Diablo-inspired idle RPG for Android” is not a phrase I expected ever to type. That’s precisely what Immortal: Reborn claims to be. Developed by Hong Kong-based studio LTGames Global, Immortal: Reborn hopes to blend dark fantasy dungeon crawling with a strategy card game experience.
You might be wondering what LTGames means by Diablo inspired. The seminal dark fantasy dungeon crawler is anything but a casual game. Well, to begin with, the world of Immortal: Reborn has certainly seen better days. Centuries ago, an ancient and powerful evil defeated the gods and plunged the world into chaos. It falls to the player to right this wrong, avenge the gods and perhaps even take their place.

If you were hoping for Diablo gameplay that isn’t quite what Immortal has in store. It is still a card-based idle game, so don’t expect to be skulking around in any procedurally generated dungeons. Instead, expect something more along the lines of an old school strategy card game with RPG elements. Any Diablo influences are more in the world and story than the game design. That doesn’t mean there still isn’t plenty of loot to gather. The game features a variety of armor, runes and 30 types of weapons with randomized stats and unique abilities.
Immortal: Reborn also boasts 40 classes with hundreds of ability combinations. You’ll need to build your character carefully if you plan to succeed in Immortal’s variety of game modes. These include Arena, Trial, Tower and Boss Challenges.

LTGames Global has been active since 2017, with Immortal: Reborn being their eleventh Android release. They are best known for games such as Dungeon Survivor II and Fury Survivor: Pixel Z. The latter is a pixel art zombie survival game that racked up over 2.7 million users in its first month. Immortal: Reborn is available now on Google Play. Look for our upcoming review
