If you like Dungeons & Dragons, you’ll love Magic: The Gathering. Since its first introduction to tabletop gaming in 1993, MTG has garnered millions of players and billions of cards. Now, this Pokémon-esque strategy card game joins the world of apps and has been in early access since January 28th. Though only currently available on select Android devices, MTG will be available to all in a few months. An interesting aspect of this game is that it supports play across various platforms. For example, if you’re on the app and your friend is on their PC, you’ll be able to play together without trouble. Not only does the game have all the familiar cards, it also features the new MTG game, Kaldheim.
Additionally, Magic: The Gathering has a brand-new streamlined interface fully supporting small screens and touch controls. No blurry visuals or unresponsive tapping here. The interface is also optimized for social interaction such as the Friend List and In-Game Messaging. Plus, you can build your deck on the go, without the hassle of digging out a physical one. Mortals and monsters are now at your fingertips, itching for battle. Time to build a new deck of magical warriors!
