Fire The Cannons!
Mid-March 2022, MapleStory M added a Cannoneer class to its arsenal of six other player options. Players will be familiar with the Explorer, Hero, and Sengoku Classes, to name a few. This new class brings a collection of new skills, jobs and opportunities. Additionally, it comes with a monkey sidekick for support and a powerful hand cannon. The weapon deals high damage and has a wide attack range. NEXON America Inc. introduced Cannoneer during Season 2 of the Daily Style Festival. Notably, the festival has three celebratory events for the spring. Festival’s are normally fashion competitions for players to support and appreciate each other’s styles.
However, this year, it is an introduction for NEXON’s latest and greatest. The Daily Style Festival broke out into three different events spanning over of two months. The first event was the Cannoneer On-Time Event. If players logged in between March 16 and 23 they received character slot coupons, auto-battle tickets, and other surprises. Second was the Cannoneer Mega Burning Event. This ran from March 16 to April 19. It provided faster leveling up opportunities for their characters. Finally, the Cannoneer Growth Support Mission, from March 16 to April 19, focused on the Cannoneer itself. Players were provided level up perks and prizes, to include exclusive Cannoneer cosmetics.
