Collect the Multiverse

Marvel Entertainment just announced a new card game that’ll join their lineup later this year on mobile and PC. Nuverse and Second Dinner joined hands in order to bring MARVEL SNAP to life. With Second Dinner being headed by a former Hearthstone game director, there’s a lot to look forward to with this title.

MARVEL SNAP sets itself apart from other card games with the simple fact of not being turn-based. Players jump into quick matches instead and play simultaneously across three different zones. The point with this play style is to win two out of three matches. Match locations are a toss-up, as there’s over 50 unique locations and each match will be in a different setting.

Marvel SNAP Battle

Add in the fact that more 150 unique cards will be available at launch, each with their own variations, no deck will be the same. The entirety of the Marvel multiverse is going to be added regularly and each addition will have different variants. Card illustrations will range from pieces spanning Marvel’s 80-year history and new pieces created solely for this game.

While the trailer has only just been released, Marvel has given us one more tidbit about the game. Players will have the ability to “SNAP” one another and destroy cards in order to raise the stakes of this card game. It’s up to players to bluff and fight for supremacy.

Players can visit the official website to sign-up for the limited closed beta. As of now, this initial beta is only for Android devices within certain regions. Players can also sign up for game notifications at the official website. Keep your eye out for the Hardcore Droid review!
