A Mega Pantheon of Adventure
Waleneqi produces an exciting multi-player RPG, Mega Goddess: Eternal War. Players enter on a mystical quest with customizable characters, spanning across multiple mythologies, to battle the forces of evil. Mega Goddess features a card-based strategy game, with both PvE and PvP modes ranging in difficulty for all types of players. Players play as the protagonist Warrior. Joined by an elite team of fighters, players must rescue the Goddess Vagray and expel the evil plaguing the world.
Ready Player, Warrior
Mega Goddess is a heroic turn-based fantasy. Players can fully customize their own combat strategies and create personal specialized skill tactics. Players create a team of characters combining skills and attack sequences. Allowing them to maximize each character’s unique ability to avoid damages and defeat the toughest battles with ease.
Each active character has unique skills, one with zero cooldowns, another with a timed cooldown and an ultimate power attack. During the story campaign, battle scenes are continuous, moving through until reaching the final boss. Combining player attacks can add damage points or ups defense rating against opponents. Along with customizing attacks, players can customize and upgrade weapons, stats and uniforms.
Multi-Player of Godly Proportions
Like similar games, Mega Goddess runs on a traditional gacha system. There are items for purchase to enhance players. However, with active playtime and a slightly slower pace, players can gain advances with daily check-in rewards and stage completion. For example, players can acquire XP scrolls which help level up characters. Additionally, gems are used to summon more characters and build an unbeatable battle team.
Mega Goddess doesn’t fall short on content. There is plenty for players to do; with every level-up, more content is unlocked. The PvP system gives players a chance to challenge others in a head-to-head battle. When entering a match, the challenged player attacks first, leveling the playing field. The added CO-OP feature lets players take Mega Goddess to friends, combining four characters for more PvP battles.
Glitching on a Prayer
With all the excitement and adventure Mega Goddess has to offer, there are some setbacks. Riddled with glitches, the gameplay and story mode can skip ahead, or worse, not reflect player choices. If a player chooses to change characters or an upgrade during a system crash, Mega Goddess may not show the changes. Players can still lose gems or upgraded abilities after a glitch. While the thrilling game options keep players interested, they can get overwhelming with an overabundance of opportunities. It is easy to get distracted by one type of gameplay. If players are solely story mode kind of players, they may find it difficult to advance without real-world payment.
Gods and Goddess, Assemble
The storyline and artwork bring this action-adventure to life with multiple gaming options. Adding in different pantheons from across the world heightens the fantasy experience. From vast world-building to an array of battle scenes, Mega Goddess is worth a run through as a gacha game, even with the system crashes. Players will craft alliances with others from all over the world. Mega Goddess is simply fun to play.
Is It Hardcore?
It has the potential.
There are far more positives than negatives. The gameplay has more options to play than most games like it and visuals pull everything together. However, the negatives are significant. Crashing mid-game is extremely frustrating, but this could all be remedied with a new update or revamping by the Dev team.
