Telltale games is a truly impressive developer. Over the last few years, they’ve essentially revived the adventure point-and-click genre, and pumped out quality releases like The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and most recently, Game of Thrones. This release, however, may surprise you. Mojang has partnered with Telltale Games to expand the Minecraft universe in a big way. Minecraft Story Mode is a collaboration between the two studios and is set to release next year.
This new series will be based on the world of Minecraft, but it will stand alone as a separate title. The episodic game will feature an original story starring new characters created just for this adventure, though I wonder if they’ll dig up any fan made creations for laughs.
Minecraft Story Mode is slated for consoles, computers, and mobile devices—Android included.
