Zombieland
Bohemia Interactive has announced the release of their new F2P multiplayer zombie survival game, Mini DayZ 2. Mini DayZ 2 challenges players to survive in a graphic-enhanced 2D sprite world rendered in retro-style pixel art. Exploration across thousands of maps in 16 different biomes and 28 raid locations is the key to survival. You’ll scavenge for resources, and use junk to craft weapons and other supplies. Ultimately, your goal is to keep your community alive in a post-apocalyptic zombie world.
I Will Survive
Survival is the name of the game in Mini DayZ 2. The game promises players the opportunity to develop a base and build a community of survivors. You’ll forage for food and other supplies, and raid to obtain resources to upgrade your base. In addition, you’ll have to monitor your health, morale and infection levels in order to stay healthy. What’s more, you can grow plants and skin animals for
meat. And you’ll unlock blueprints that will allow you to create weapons and protective gear as well.
Naturally, looting the wreckage of civilization won’t be easy. Bandits lurk among the ruins, guarding high-value locations. They’ll shoot on sight if they spot you. And of course, there are zombies. For example, the screamer zombie will alert other zombies to go after you. Fortunately, you won’t have to go it alone. Mini DayZ 2 promises a new map with three new raid locations for multiplayer. You can use matchmaking to team up, or invite a friend to join you on a raid. You’ll be able to share consumables like bandages, and revive each other. The game also promises new special attacks. Knives allow you to stealthily backstab enemies, while the sniper rife grants you long-range killing power.
Mini DayZ 2 is a direct sequel to Mini DayZ. Both games derive from the PC and console sandbox game DayZ. Unlike DayZ, Mini DayZ 2 focuses on exploration, raiding and base-building. Keep an eye out for the Hardcore Droid review!
