Moto Bike Racing Stunt Master 2019 Review

Control the Chaos to Come Out on Top

As soon as you press play you are transported into the middle of a desert. You’re all alone. It’s just you, your bike and the challenge of surviving the madness in front of you. Big Alpha Games’ Moto Bike Racing Stunt Master 2019 is all about balance and momentum. Simply going for speed and trying to blaze through the map will only result in a painful death for your character. The game is based on the racing event known as trails motocross. In trails, the main objective is to overcome the obstacles of the course without falling off your bike in the quickest time possible. The game takes out the realism aspect from the trails and adds insanely high ramps, automated steel traps and minefields to make the course as treacherous as possible.

Mad Geniuses at Work

Each map is played under time attack mode and a player can earn the highest of 3 stars per map. Up until level 15 the game seems to be a breeze but after that is when the madness sets in. The earlier simple ramps become equipped with machine-controlled rollerblades and spikes. Barren cliffs are studded with mines and haphazard bumps. Simply looking at the map in the preview before starting the round makes one scratch their head and think: “What kind of evil maniac designed this?”

In Moto Bike Stunt Master 2019, you as the player are in complete control. There are three on-screen buttons on the left which control balance and jump, and two buttons on the right for acceleration and braking. The responsiveness of the buttons is pin-point, there is absolutely no lag and hence no leeway to blame the game when you fly off the ramp, straight into a mine and are blown into next week. The balance buttons, however, are extremely sensitive and take getting used to. An effective strategy is to tap and not hold the buttons to ensure the best control of your bike.

Keep an Eye Out

Subtlety in this game will kill you. Each map has some combination of ramps and steep terrain, but it would be futile to assume that all of them are the same. The biggest challenges in this game are not the huge obstacles that grab your attention, but the subtle changes that one only recognizes at the very last moment. The slight change in the angle of the ramp or a small increase in the distance between the jump and the platform seems like conscious design decisions. They are and they pay off. These subtle elements of the game are what will keep players consistently on their toes.

The dynamism of the camera helps to create an immersive gaming experience. When you jump off a cliff, the camera pans out, creating the illusion of depth. This tricks your mind into thinking that you are actually falling from a height. The camera will slowly pan in as you move closer and closer to the ground which could make you feel a tingling sensation in your stomach; in the way one feels when they drive a car down a steep hill.

The ability of this simply designed game with low-level graphics to create such an engaging experience is something to appreciate.

More to Be Done

The game has only one in-game soundtrack which plays on a loop of 20 seconds. The pause between the end and the start of the loop is easily identifiable and becomes repetitive and annoying overtime.

Also, the relationship between mines and the player’s health is erratic. Normally, a death by fall or any other circumstance results in the reduction of the health bar by one. However, dying by a mine can lead to the reduction of health by anything between one and five bars. This seems to be a major bug in the game that needs to be fixed.

It’s evident from playing Stunt Master 2019 that Big Alpha Games had fun creating it. Overcoming the obstacles and completing maps is a rewarding experience. Even earning just one star in some maps seems like an achievement that is validated by the effort and concentration needed to finish it. The game only has 29 levels and will take you just a couple of days to complete, but the experience is something you’ll surely remember.

Hardcore?
3.5

Yes.

Hop on your motorbike and take on the challenge in front of you. Moto Bike Racing Stunt Master 2019 creates an engaging gaming experience owing to its responsive controls and innovative map designs.
