New Quests, Deeper Mythology
NantGames is excited to announce a major narrative-driven update to its geolocation role-playing game (GRPG) MythWalker. The update will roll out on iOS and Android devices.
Additionally, the update will deliver over 20 brand-new quests. These brand-new quests will offer players deeper lore, new challenges and thrilling gameplay opportunities.
Uncovering Secrets and Safeguarding Hyport
One of the new quests in MythWalker is the Legacy of the Drakates. It explores the origins, culture, and internal strife of the Drakates. These are mysterious yet formidable reptilian creatures that rule Mytherra. In addition, these lizard-like creatures have morphed into multiple types of specialized and highly skilled warriors, spellcasters and technicians.
Players are tasked with uncovering their secrets and facing off against them. They also confront morally complex choices that determine the future of both the Drakates and the human world.
Meanwhile, Players will also embark on quests to help storekeeper Madra Maclachlan safeguard the supplies coming in and out of the city of Hyport. They also protect Madra against roaming bandits and deadly monsters.
In the meantime, Madra has teamed up with a mob of Hobs – a Goblin tribe with a fondness for practical jokes and explosives. However, these allies have proven to be both valuable and unreliable trade partners. Therefore, you will need to guide them to stay on track.
MythWalker Pirate Groups
Another thrilling quest line in MythWalker invites players to help the blacksmith Gem Stanna and take on pirates threatening Hyport. These include Calypso’s Corsairs, who have emerged as the most powerful of the roaming pirate groups. They are infamous both as villains and heroes. Players will also uncover hidden pirate coves and participate in a global tour of pirate traditions.
Moreover, players will teleport to iconic landmarks around the globe. Using the Portal system, players can access mythological hotspots and uncover local legends.
What the Insiders Say
“This is our most story-rich update yet,” said Angella Austin, PR Manager at NantGames. “We’re giving players meaningful content that not only advances the main plot but also lets them shape how the world evolves around them.”
