Tiny but Mighty
Nano Legends, brought to us by Nimble Neuron, is now available on Google Play. The game is a bit hard to describe, but the genre it comes closest to is tower defense. Already released on the App Store for the iPad and iPhone, Android users can now experience this well-reviewed game.
Nano Legends starts with a young boy walking into an antique shop. Looking around he’s startled by two very small beings fighting each other. One of them tells a third named Reina to get the boy up to speed. Reina explains that they’re called Champions, “soul-like beings born from the rarest antiques” brought to life by a witch. As far as video game stories go, it’s not the craziest. Still, it works with Nano Legends’ charming art style, as battles take place on boards with items like chess pieces and dice surrounding the action.
Clash of the Toy-tans
The developers describe the game as a “3D Tower-Rush Champion Brawl RTS game,” which makes sense when you look at its gameplay. Your typical match will feature two sides, your own and your opponent’s. On both sides there is a large tower that must be destroyed in order to win. This is done by sending in foot soldiers and using magic against your opponent. But the key troops that will lead to victory are the Champions themselves. There’s plenty of Champions to be collected, each with their own playstyles, abilities and backstory. You can level up your troops from the main menu and spend money at the shops for chances to get new Champions. You can play against AI in Adventure mode or face off against other players in duel mode. There are also missions that you’ll be able to take on and guilds that should be coming soon.
Overall, Nano Legends seems like a fun and unique experience. So if it seems interesting to you, now would be the time to hop aboard. For more information on other Android titles, check out Hardcore Droid’s other reviews.
