Whoomp! There it Is
Basketball fans, prepare to drive the lane in NBA Now 22 out now for mobile! This officially licensed NBA game lands courtesy of Com2uS, the South Korean developers behind Summoner’s War. So, with such an established developer, do basketball fans finally have a genuinely immersive mobile sim on their hands?
A Slam Dunk
Come2uS’ new game boasts easy and precise controls, including the ability to play and win the NBA Championship with one hand. Of course, doing so wouldn’t mean much if you weren’t doing it with your favorite players. Fear not, NBA Now 22 has you covered there too. Players can play with all NBA teams in all stadiums over the ‘21 – ‘22 season. For added immersion, NBA Now 22 promises all players’ stats will be regularly updated to reflect their real-life performance. Additionally, players can collect and use an All-Star roster, including retired legends from every era of the league.
Collecting All-Stars and defeating the computer for a championship is fun enough, but what about the real challenge? For that, NBA Now 22 offers head-to-head matches against other players online. Players can earn bragging rights by playing with friends from across the globe in “Friend Battle.” Or climb the ladder and establish yourself as the best in the world in “Ranked Battle.”
Something for Everyone
Whichever kind of player you are, NBA Now 22 guarantees you’ll have a way to play. If early reviews on Google Play are any indicator, this may hold true. The game currently has four stars, with fans praising the simple controls and graphics. However, it seems that there may also be an overabundance of paid loot boxes, leaving some fans a little disappointed. As always, check back for our Hardcore Droid review to get the definitive score!
