‘Endless’-style games always seem to have an addictive quality to them. They always up the challenge ever so slightly, chipping away at your reflexes until you slam your unsuspecting character into an incoming rock or wall. You can find plenty of these kinds of games on the Play Store, but today, I’m highlighting a game that’s not quite an endless runner, endless shooter or endless jumper – no, I’m talking about WonderFish, an endless swimmer by Zausan.
If you think WonderFish looks simple on the surface, that’s because it is. The gameplay consist of tapping the sides of the screen to make WonderFish go up and down to avoid enemies and obstacles. The steady increase in difficulty is where this game really shines and the last of the 20 available levels get pretty difficult.
WonderFish feels like a true old-school arcade game at times, and that’s something I wasn’t expecting when I was going into this game. Obstacles and enemies are almost endless, and everything from crabs to human waste wants your clownfish dead. You can also share your high scores with friends and unlock achievements, a feature that old school diehards will get a kick out of.
WonderFish is the 13th app published by Zausan and it has the potential to be its most successful yet. If you don’t believe me, you can download it for yourself here. There are no IAPs for the game, and the game itself is FREE, so why not try? Who knows – you might enjoy your time under the sea.
