What Will Playdigious Win?
Some big things are coming to France this March, namely the Pégases game awards, hosted by the SNJV and the Academy of Video Game Arts and Techniques. One of the indie game developers in the awards, Playdigious, recently announced that two of their games were nominated. After winning the Best Mobile Game with Dead Cells in 2020, nominees this year are Northgard and Sparklight. Both placed in the top three of their categories, Best Mobile Game and Best International Mobile Game, respectively.

Northgard is Playdigious’ Norse strategy game where you lead a Viking clan aiming to control a new land. Players build settlements and assign tasks to clan members while trying to survive harsh winters and attacks from dire wolves and even the undead. Play alone in story mode as Rig, a Viking king’s son as he explores the land in search of his father’s killer. Or join multiplayer and play with or against six other players. Will you survive the unforgiving land of Northgard?

Sparklight is a colorful RPG with a procedurally generating map filled with adventure and danger. Master the power of the Sparklight and explore the beautiful, pixelated land of Geodia. Make friends with locals and help each other take on the Baron of the mining industry destroying the planet. Solve puzzles and battle enemies to grow your strength and save the world.
Get Sparklight for free until after the first mission, then it’s $7, and Northgard for $8.99 on Google Play. Also, be on the lookout for reviews from Hardcore Droid.
