Prizefighters 2, sequel to Prizefighters, was made by Koality Game and released on December 17th, 2020. Like its predecessor, the game focuses on boxers, fighting to become champions in the ring.
The boxing is like the last game with a new coat of paint and new mechanics. There are multiple gauges the player must keep track of, and distance appears to play an important role. These new aspects likely point to certain fighters being more effective at different ranges. It’s also likely you’ll be able to activate skills when your gauges fill.
Career mode is more complex than before. While climbing the ranks, you can train your boxer to learn new skills and abilities. Each choice you make in training will affect your boxer’s stats. Players also must keep in mind their age as their character gets older. Other boxers will challenge you for your title and your skills will slowly decline as you age. When you retire, you’ll be able to start over with a new fighter and make your way to the top again. When playing again, you’ll be able to fight the same rivals you did with your first character.
Prizefighters 2 also contains a premium edition. The base game is free to play, but if you pay for the premium edition, you’ll unlock multiple new features. You can customize the entire league, allowing you to choose the boxers’ appearances, weight classes, stats, and tendencies. Players can save and export the leagues they create with one another. You also gain ten save slots for the career mode, allowing you to run multiple careers at once.
