Raging Bytes is a 2D pixel-art-styled retro role-playing game that harkens back to the times of old-school action RPGs and zombie apocalypse games. Combining the feel of Final Fantasy with the classic zombie apocalypse formula, players will make use of a unique turn-based combat system to fight back against hordes of raging zombies.
As seen in the official trailer, the combat of Raging Bytes presents players with massive hordes of zombified foes and bosses that almost take up the whole screen.
They’ll need to use various items, abilities and attacks to inflict damage. Each party member specializes in different roles for different uses. They must all work together to take on the horde.
The story of Raging Bytes also harkens back to the good old days. Taking inspiration from classic old-school zombie flicks, particularly from legendary director George A. Romero, Raging Bytes seems to be a cheesy, action-packed zombie movie turned into a cheesy an action-packed RPG!
The story synopsis for the game is as follows:
A police officer, Ben, awakens in hospital after an accident to find the city overrun by zombies! What in the world is going on here? Can the government be relied on? Do any other survivors remain? Ben stumbles upon a doctor named Barbra while struggling through zombie-infested streets. Together, they make their way to Ben’s police station, but only more horror awaits them.
