Vikings Crossover: Here Come The Vikings
NetEase Games is partnering with MGM on a crossover between the hit television show Vikings and the mobile game, Vikingard. The crossover will allow players to take part in the early days of Ragnar Lothbrok’s epic journey, as seen in season 1 of the television series.
Vikingard is a Nordic-themed mobile title in which players take on the role of a mighty Viking warrior, forging alliances and seizing new territories.
Other Vikings characters to join Vikingard include Ragnar’s first wife and lethal combatant, Lagertha, Rollo, and the mischievous Floki. Players can recruit and fight alongside these iconic characters. Imagine attacking cities with the legendary Lagertha at your side or seizing territories alongside Rollo.
Players will be able to advise Ragnar as he strives to become king. Also, players can invite the legendary Vikings characters to visit with their tribe and learn about their adventures. Additionally, players may even befriend Ragnar, Rollo, Lagertha and Floki, which will net them exclusive rewards.
“The Vikings franchise has exploded in popularity around the world, and we look forward to bringing our dedicated fans a new and exciting way to experience epic Vikings adventures with this series of Vikingard in-game integrations,” said MGM Executive Vice President of Global Consumer Products and Experiences Robert Marick in a press release.
This crossover event is just the first of several Vikings’ crossovers that Vikingard developers have planned. Multiple limited-time events are currently in the works, which will further allow players to explore the Vikings universe.
