New Content, New Opportunities
The fantasy MMORPG Ragnarok Origin is celebrating its first anniversary. A mobile spinoff of the popular MMORPG Ragnarok Online, the game launched in the US and Canada on November 10th, 2021. Publisher Gravity celebrates this important milestone by announcing two new classes, a map and fan competitions.
The MMORPG’s new classes are the Sage and the Scholar. The Sage specializes in magic, and their unique abilities let them block or absorb an opponent’s magic and dispel magical effects. Sages aren’t pure spellcasters, however, and are also adept at physical combat. Meanwhile, Gravity describes Scholars as “the transcendence of Sages.” They possess various skills, and their magical power is virtually unmatched in Ragnarok Origin. Scholars also have an easier time using their many mystical abilities, casting spells more easily than other classes.
Both would fit in with Ragnraok Origin’s new map. The city of Juno sits high among the clouds, overlooking the world below. Known as “the City of Knowledge and Wisdom,” it serves as the Sages’ headquarters.
Out-of-Game Events
In addition to the new in-game content, Ragnarok Origin has a unique opportunity for fans of the game. Players can win limited-edition gifts by entering “The One Challenge.” Those who consider themselves musically inclined can record themselves singing a cover of the song “The One” from Ragnarok Origin. Entrants can find more information and submit their performances on the official contest page.
Finally, players can participate in Ragnarok Origin’s Fortune Teller Event in-game or on the official site until January 31st. Players will have their fortunes read by an interactive NPC. They can then select a Soulmate Card and receive a mystery present in Ragnarok Origin.
Players can download Ragnarok Origin free from Google Play and the App Store. Also, be sure to check back later for more news and reviews here at Hardcore Droid.
