A League of Their Own
There is a new Rocket League mobile game coming later this year. According to Psyonix, Rocket League Sideswipe is a new mobile game that will be a “standalone Rocket League experience built from the ground up.” This version of Rocket League will feature all the staples that the series is known for, but it will also be customized for a more streamlined handheld experience.
Psyonix mentions that Rocket League Sideswipe will be free and will be shown from a “new perspective on the field.” The title offers 1v1 and 2v2 matches that range up to 2 minutes in length. All matches will be short in length and will be a completely online experience. The controls are just as simple to use as compared to Rocket League’s console counter-parts. Using an Android device to move around the turbo-charged vehicles will function as responsively as any controller.
Rocket Fueled Goals
Players who enjoy Rocket League for the ranked matches will also find that this mobile version will feature similar features. Psyonix will reveal more information about the Competitive Ranking system in the coming months near release. Expect Rocket League Sideswipe to launch worldwide later this year. However, starting today, players in regions of Australia and New Zealand can join up for a limited-timed Alpha test on Google Play. Plus, there are also plans to release Beta tests in the near future.
