Little Witch Girl
What would you do if you came home one day to find your friends and family under a curse? That’s what Momo, an aspiring witch, is faced with in Secret House from Flash, Inc. Help save her loved ones by solving puzzles and casting spells in this charming puzzle game. Besides helping others, bring the house back to life by cleaning rooms and replacing furniture. The more spells cast, the closer Momo comes to figuring out just what happened to her home.

Magic Puzzles
Tap the broom on the bottom right to enter a level. The goal is to match pieces of the same color within the given number of moves. Matching a certain number of pieces makes boosters appear, like a cute little owl. Boosters clear even more pieces from levels. Occasionally levels require an additional task like dropping fairy fruit to the bottom to collect adorable tiny fairies. After completing a level Momo is rewarded with a shiny, rainbow-colored marble. Tap the diary on the bottom left to view her quests. Use the marbles to cast spells and complete the quests. Every twenty marbles earns crystals with rewards. Choose wisely, as only two crystals can be picked. Rewards include coins and boosters, such as hammers and bombs. Hammers remove one piece while bombs remove several. Additional coins and boosters are earned when Momo meets new characters, and when they meet new characters.

Cute but Awkward
Secret House outdid itself with background art and character design. Each room of the house, be it the bakery or candle shop, varies in terms of both color and setup. Some furniture can be changed after Momo casts a spell. The furniture can either match or differ from piece to piece. As for the characters, their appearances change based on whether they’re cursed or not. When under the curse, they look like mindless vampires, though there was a man that turned into a werewolf. Once free of the curse, everyone has a unique appearance and style, from robes to suits and even coveralls. However, as beautiful as the game is, there was one small issue. Whenever characters are speaking, the dialogue boxes move through conversations too quickly to read. Normally tapping a dialogue box would advance things, but these have a mind of their own. Blink and you’ll miss it.
Is it Hardcore?
Yes
Though hard to get a read on characters and the story, this is a charmingly cute puzzle game worth trying.
