According to a press release posted on Sony Entertainment’s website yesterday, Sony will be changing their name to Sony Interactive Entertainment. I know, insane, right? However, in this same press release the media giant announced that they will be forming a new company called ForwardWorks Entertainment. Opening their doors in April 1st 2016, ForwardWorks will focus on the Sony Library, porting titles from Sony’s massive canon onto mobile devices.
Unfortunately, Sony will be targeting markets in Asia and Japan, and made no mention of Western markets. Here at Hardcore Droid we are thrilled by the prospect of Sony Android Games because we can’t imagine how, if successful, they would ignore such a large and vibrant market. To say nothing of the fact that the Sony library of video games is pretty amazing. A few highlights below, courtesy of watchmojo.com.
