The Space Marshals Ride Again
Space Marshals 3 was released last week on Google Play and the App Store. It’s the third entry in Pixelbite’s comedic space western series. The game is an action-focused top-down shooter with an emphasis on stealth. Players take down criminals in a crew of Space Marshals and restore the law.
The game boasts great graphics to keep players enthralled as they take on the galaxy’s worst criminals. You’ll play through a number of maps with various enemies and levels of difficulty. Players will be fighting the evilest criminals the galaxy has to offer and not all of them are human. The types of enemies vary, but usually the bigger they are, the more deadly. Some enemies are stealthy and have high mobility while others are tanks, able to soak up a ton of damage. The enemies have you outnumbered, but not outgunned.
There’s some replayability as there are a number of upgrades you can get for your weapons in each level. These upgrades can drastically change how your weapon operates, like making your guns hit harder or giving your dynamite a bigger blast radius. You select your loadout before each mission which allows for more replayability as you attempt to select the kit that’ll get you through the level most efficiently. Playing through a level might go horribly the first time, but going through it again with a different loadout could turn the odds in your favor.
Pixelbite promises the only type of transactions you’ll find in the game are tied to its chapters. Space Marshals 3 is free to download but only chapter one is currently available. The other chapters will be released over time for a small fee allowing players to decide for themselves if it’s worth investing money into. Overall, fans seem to love the game. However, there were some user complaints regarding phone compatibility with the graphics. Check back next week for Hardcoredroid’s review of Space Marshals 3.
