Survive the Zombie Apocalypse
If you’re a fan of zombies and have an Android device, you’ve probably heard of State of Survival, a zombie survival strategy game by KingsGroup Holdings. Surviving the zombie apocalypse is no simple task. That is why we at Hardcore Droid have compiled a list of tips and tricks to give you an edge over enemy players and the endless zombie hordes.
Join an Active Guild
There are many events that you can participate in only after you’ve joined a guild. Once you join a guild, you can request help to upgrade buildings, train soldiers and research new tech.
Relocate your settlement within guild boundaries for extra protection. The closer you are to your guildmates the better the chance that they will come to your aid when you rival players attack you. Of course, you’ll want to join a guild that’s active. If your guildmates don’t log on often, then the help they provide will be severely limited.
Complete Daily Missions and Chapter Tasks
If you’re unsure what to do next a great place to check out is the chapter tasks. Chapter tasks include goals like researching a specific task, killing infected and training troops. Not only are chapter tasks typically things you’ll want to complete to progress in-game anyway, they also reward you with a sizeable amount of supplies.
Each day your daily missions will renew. Completing daily missions nets you points. When you earn enough points, you’ll unlock a daily mission chest full of sweet rewards. Some daily missions are harder than others, but there is always a plethora of them available. If you focus on completing the ones that are easiest for you, you’ll still be able to unlock all your daily mission rewards chests each day.
Take Advantage of Daily Searches
A simple but easily overlooked feature in State of Survival is the daily search. Tap on your Hero Precinct, then tap search. Each day you’ll unlock four advanced searches and one epic search, though you can search more if you have search maps in your inventory. Daily searches net you free supplies and Hero fragments which you can use to unlock and upgrade heroes.
Check Your Mail
State of Survival is constantly rolling out updates and incentives players to update the app by offering in-game items to those who update. Check your mail frequently for letters asking you to update the game. After updating, go back into your mail to collect your reward. You’ll also find rewards to collect from rescuing survivors and killing zombies in the wilderness in your mail.
Check The Events Billboard Frequently
State of Survival is constantly running multiple events. There are an array of events offered, some being quite difficult. However, there are many events you can earn rewards for by playing the game as you normally would, so it’s a good idea to frequently check the Events Billboard, which is in the upper right-hand corner. Events typically run for a few days to a week and you must collect your rewards before the event ends.
Upgrade Your Heroes and Equip Hero Gear
In State of Survival, the heroes you unlock not only lead your troops against infected in the wilderness, but they can also complete trail missions which will net you extra supplies. During trail missions, you control three of your heroes as they battle zombies. Click the hero tab at your Hero Precinct to upgrade heroes using combat manuals. The stronger your heroes are, the more trail missions you’ll be able to complete. Eventually, you’ll unlock the ability to craft hero gear, which is essentially equipable armor. Equip your heroes with any hero gear you craft to up their chances of survival in battle. Whenever possible, use skill books to refine or level up a hero’s skills to make them more effective.
Gather Supplies
Whether you plan to upgrade a building, train soldiers or research new tech, you’ll need plenty of supplies. While you can produce your own food, wood, metal and gas as you progress, you will spend more and more time waiting to accumulate enough resources for your next upgrade. To cut down on time spent waiting, frequently send troops out to gather supplies. To do so, tap the wilderness globe icon in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, then tap search. Not only will this reduce wait time, you’ll likely complete a daily mission or two as well.
Focus on Upgrading Your HQ
Your settlement’s strength hinges on your Headquarters. Upgrading any building has its advantages—upgrade your farms to produce more food or upgrade your barracks to unlock stronger troops. However, while upgrading any building adds to the overall battle power of your settlement, State of Survival doesn’t allow you to upgrade other buildings above the level of your Headquarters. Therefore, if you neglect to upgrade your Headquarters, it will limit you in how much you can upgrade other buildings. Upgrading your HQ also unlocks new buildings for you to construct, so it is essential to focus on upgrading it over other structures.
