Having honed their skills in creating immersive, well received games such as Heroes Of Steel, Star Traders RPG and Star Traders 4X Empire Develepers The Trese Brothers have been working for more than a year to produce the sequel to their popular Templar Assault, packing Templars Battle Force with even more turn-based actions, character management and high level strategy than it’s predecessor.
With a vast sprawling campaign that spans the galaxy players have ample opportunity to train their Templars, undertaking a wealth of missions covering a variety of tasks, earning points to upgrade units stats and unlock new abilities. Templars come in eight different flavors with firepower available in form of the flame wielding hydras, Neptunes with their heavy machineguns and Berserkers that specialize in melees and close-range combat. There is also an all-round soldier class, the nimble and deadly scouts, and the commanding Captain Templars, while squad support is available from Engineers or the medic-warrior Paladin classes.
When Templars are experienced enough in the arts of survival and bloodshed they’re awarded the title of veteran, unlocking special talents and skills that allow you to specialize and strengthen troops. These abilities can be combined within each of the eight classes to provide a large and varied style of play during missions, through customizing squads and exploiting different paths. Templar Battle Force is set to arrive on Android early in July. Until then you can stay updated here on the official Trese forum.
