Developers Introversion Software recently announced that they’d be bringing their popular management sim, Prison Architect, to Android and iOS and have put out a call on Twitter for potential testers.
Prison Architect, released in 2012 for PC as an alpha-build, is a management game where players must design and maintain a prison facility and its grounds. It’s up to players to create the facilities, deciding how large recreation rooms and cells are, or whether to segregate the more violent inmates from each other. Each prison has its own budget for improvements such as workshops, equipment and windows, which affect the inmates mood and behavior. A successful prison that has happy staff and a high-percentage of rehabilitated inmates will run smoothly, earning bonus funds to further improve it and increasing its reputation. A poorly run prison will be hard to maintain, with unhappy inmates starting fights and damaging equipment, upsetting wardens and causing trouble when they can.
Introversion plan to include all the features from the PC edition in their new version for Android, but will be making small changes like reducing the population cap to help it run smoothly on less powerful devices. Those interested in becoming testers for the tablet edition can sign up by subscribing to Introversion’s mailing list via there Twitter account here.
