Time Blast: Puzzle Game Review

A Journey Through Time Blast

Time Blast, developed by Playabit and published by Widelife Inc, is an intriguing match-3 game.  The player will have to join the Timesmith family on an exciting journey across different seasons and places. As the player solves complex puzzles, he gets to explore different historical eras. He will visualize how the Timesmith family traveled across the Stone Age to the wild west. While exploring the unique features peculiar in those eras. As Time Blast unfolds, new adventures and surprises awaits the player.

Defend your Puzzling Skills

The puzzle aspect of Time Blast is challenging, requiring players to plan ahead and think strategically to clear the board. Like other match 3-games, the objective is to match vibrant colourful cubes to clear the screen. The player can also use special power-ups to navigate through some very difficult levels. The Power-ups are special abilities, such as bombs and color-shifting cubes, which allow you to clear large groups of cubes or strategically manipulate the board. These power-ups can be earned as you play or purchase them in-game, adding a layer of strategy to how the player approaches each level.

The balance between power-up usage and skill keeps the gameplay engaging and rewarding.  As you progress in Time Blast, each level further challenges your matching and strategic skills, causing you to think critically and plan your moves carefully. Whether at home, commuting or in a remote area, you can keep advancing through the game’s story and try to reach new high points, testing your strength and critical thinking.

The colorful art style of Time Blast

Time Blast‘s visuals are so bright and eye-catching, with colorful 3D cubes that shine brightly against the clean and simple background. The animations are smooth, and the effects produced when the power-ups are activated kind of provide a satisfying burst of energy to the gameplay. While the graphics are quite appealing, they are not overly complex or cluttered, which is a good thing for a mobile game. The focus is on the gameplay and the visuals complement them well. The levels are varied enough to keep things visually interesting.

Is Time Blast Worth a Second Try?

Time Blast‘s time-based mechanics adds a layer of difficulty that can both be thrilling and frustrating. The levels are designed to be progressively more challenging, with power-ups and boosts that help manage the increasing difficulty. However, some levels may feel a bit too demanding for casual players, especially without in-game purchases.  Like many mobile games, Time Blast offers in-app purchases for power-ups, extra lives.  and more time. These purchases can help with tougher levels.  Although spending 900 coins to buy time to complete a difficult level may feel excessive.  Time Blast equally offers ads, though they are not overly invasive.  You can watch them to gain extra rewards. Overall, Time Blast is a fun, fast-paced puzzle game that might appeal to match-3 fans looking for a fresh twist. The time-based challenges keep the gameplay exciting. Overall, it is a well-designed game with satisfying visuals, challenging levels and strategic depth.
