5. 1941 Frozen Front Premium
This turn-based strategy game is set in the WWII period, offering tons of awesome activities and options. Not only can you play through the title’s many different campaigns and story missions, but you can also play with your friends using the online multiplayer option. 1941 Frozen Front Premium is a highly detailed old-school strategy game that gives the player full control of movement, repairs, infantry, tanks, and warplanes.
4. Marvel Contest of Champions
This Marvel fighting game is a freemium fighting game that is heavy with IAPs. Though this game may end up getting a less than stellar grade overall, all we know now is the first hour or so makes it worth the free download in spades. It is a complete blast to experiment with and test out the various marvel mainstays, with some obscure super dudes thrown in the mix as well. The controls are tight, the gameplay’s exciting, and the graphics are first-rate, a win-win download.
3. KatataK
Rendered in old-school 16-bit, KatataK is actually quite the awesome game. Battle through the streets against interstellar cats and survive for as long as possible, using guns and upgrades that you unlock the longer you survive. There are a lot of unlockable aspects to the game, including new characters, a bunch of wicked-looking guns and weapons, as well as a ton of power-ups.
2. Game of Thrones
Based on the epic best-selling novels by George R.R. Martin and the groundbreaking HBO television show, the newly released Game of Thrones adventure game is stewed with potential, being that it is the product of point and click masters Telltale Games, of The Walking Dead fame. As per usual for Telltale Games, Game of Thrones enables the player to determine the fate of different characters through the choices and actions they take. The graphics of this game are quite impressive, and the characters, as one would expect, are nothing if not memorable. The first of six episodes is available now.
1. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath
A picture-perfect port of the classic action adventure game, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath will undoubtedly keep you entertained. Set in an Old West wing of the Oddworld universe, you play as the mysterious stranger, an Eastwoodesque guy who has wandered into a town that is being harassed by outlaws. Believe it or not, you take on the role of clearing these guys out. With sumptuous graphics, powerhouse-fun gameplay as well as a wealth of quirky characters, townfolk and enemies alike, this game will most certainly keep you amused for days. With complete touch-screen controls, you have the ability to shift between first-person shooter and third-person platformer. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath’s incredible graphics, gameplay and compelling storyline are all intact. Not to be missed.
