Unity Makes Its Ed Portal Free for Budding Developers

Intrigued by a career in game design? Looking to move past games like Game Dev Story and Game Builder Garage? Now’s your chance to learn to actually create games. With the world’s population stuck inside due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unity is doing its part to make social distancing more bearable for aspiring game developers.  Now through June 20^th, the seminal development platform is offering Unity Learn Premium for free. The company explains the reasoning behind the move on their website. “During the COVID-19 crisis, we’re committed to supporting the community with complimentary access to Unity Learn Premium for three months.”

Access to the education portal typically costs $15.00 a month. It includes tutorials, projects, and courses to help budding game developers hone their skills. “Each of our online courses comes with step-by-step professional instruction and hands-on projects,” the site explains.  Unity is also offering three free months of Create with Code Live, which provides users with live instruction through zoom. Courses are available for all skill levels. Whether you want to brush up on your skills or are just starting out, Unity Learn Premium has courses to suit your needs.
