Digital Extremes’ next cinematic update for Warframe, Jade Shadows, will unveil the story of a beloved character in a new single-player quest launching for free on June 18 across all current platforms. The Devstream provided an in-depth look at the 57th Warframe, Jade, highlighted the new ascension mission type and clan operation: Belly of the Beast. It also detailed the full schedule and special voice guest roster for TennoCon 2024. Not only that, it also announced the date for Soulframe’s first-ever dedicated Devstream, among other exciting updates.
“This marks our last Devstream until TennoCon, so we packed it with as many goodies as we could to tide you over,” said Megan Everett, Community Director. “The team is thrilled to finally tell the Stalker’s story. We’ve never created a Warframe like Jade before, and we’re all excited! So stay hungry, Tenno, we are cooking up some real tasty treats with Jade Shadows and beyond. Sometimes it’s a detour from the main story, sometimes it’s all connected. We plan to keep everyone on their toes for the rest of the year.”
What’s In It For You?
Players can explore the dark enigmas surrounding one of Warframe’s most enigmatic characters, the Stalker, in the new narrative quest, Jade Shadows. In a support role, Jade uses her “angelic choir” inspirations to perform buffing solos that increase damage or shield regeneration, slow enemies, or create healing light pools. Her ultimate ability empowers her to take to the skies and deliver a display of true divine intervention.
The Game Has Evolved
The Warframe team showcased the new vertical mission type, Ascension. Players must escape the bottom layer of an enemy base by commandeering a massive elevator. Furthermore, there’s also the fighting off waves of enemies, and collecting power cells to keep the lift moving. Acting as an epilogue to the quest, the new Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast takes players back into the depths of the enemy base. Players can team up with clan-mates to complete objectives. They can also thwart the Corpus faction’s latest experiments. Not only this, they can also unlock new stylish energy aura Ephemeras. But fo this, they have to make sure that the community goals are achieved.
A teaser trailer for the third entry in the Heirloom line of cosmetics for Warframe Ember was revealed. This was in anticipation of TennoCon 2024 It. is set to launch on July 20. Details on marketplace pricing changes were shared, with the fourth Heirloom skin to be made public at the event itself. Jade Shadows also introduces a deluxe skin for Warframe Yareli and various quality-of-life improvements. These include enhancements to Necramech acquisition, enemy power scaling, and UI fashion recommendations.
The complete two-day schedule for TennoCon 2024 has been revealed. Day One features a 1999-themed TennoVIP celebration with guest DJ iHearCanvas, karaoke, and more. New activities for Day Two will consist of Crack-A-Relic pin trading. This is dedicated panels with major announcements. There are also insights into Warframe’s art and sound design, and the first-ever dedicated Soulframe Devstream on July 20.
