Freddy Who?
Do you love Five Nights at Freddy’s? How about Nicolas Cage? What if Nick Cage starred in B-movie rip-off of FNAF? What sounds like a fever dream of a 15-year-old who fell asleep halfway through National Treasure is shockingly real. Enter Willy’s Wonderland, a 2021 horror film starring the one and only Nick Cage. As if that wasn’t enough, enter Willy’s Wonderland – The Game. Yes, a mobile game based on a Nick Cage film that itself is based on a hugely popular indie game. We’ve finally come full circle.
Joking aside, Willy’s Wonderland – The Game comes courtesy of QUByte Interactive, a São Paulo based game studio. Billing itself as a 2.5D beat ‘em up, players will take control of one of two characters from the film. As either The Janitor or Liv, players journey through Willy’s Wonderland, battling against hordes of evil, blood-thirsty animatronics. QUByte promises combat inspired by the classics of the 2.5D beat ‘em up genre, alongside modern special techniques and powerful abilities. Of course, each level contains a terrifying boss battle against one of Willy’s hench-robots and even Willy himself!
If campy horror, gore and retro-styled beat ‘em ups are your style then this might just be the game for you. Willy’s Wonderland – The Game is currently available on Google Play for $1.99. As always, stay tuned for our full Hardcore Droid review!
