Tiny Death Star, the Star Wars-themed version of the hit game Tiny Tower. Was unceremoniously pulled from the Play Store. According to a report by Pocket Gamer, Disney decided to un-publish the game and failed to tell the developer, Nimblebit, their plans.
An unconfirmed source that says Disney decided to pull continuing support for both games in favor of Star Wars Commander, a free-to-play strategy game recently released on the Play Store. Tiny Death Star was also free to play, but Nimblebit developer Ian Marsh assumed that Disney simply did not want to spend the money to maintain the game any longer, and added that Tiny Death Star had been “a significant source of revenue” for the company with four employees.
For those who own Tiny Death Star – fear not. You will still have access to the game – just don’t switch devices, as you will lose your game.
