At Hardcore Droid we assess a devices worth from the perspective of the average hardcore gamer’s perspective; that is, gamers who love RPGs, FPSs, and adventure and strategy games of various stripes.
The question of how the average mobile hardcore gamer would enjoy a peripheral or device is always central to our best of lists and reviews. Our Best of Android lists and Best of the Year lists evaluate the most popular and critically acclaimed premium Android devices peripherals and usually narrow the lists down to 10, mostly based on other reviews and assessments.
Our hardware lists look at games that are most likely to please hardcore gamers. In other words, the hardware in question should appeal to the types of gamers who love PC and console titles.
This concept of core gaming on Android cuts to the focus of Hardcore Droid. We are looking to laud Android games and devices, more particularly Android games and devices that facilitate the depth, richness and narrative complexity of core video games.
To this end, we prefer to cover and review paid mobile games over free mobile and Android devices over iPhones and iPads. We are also far more likely to review and assess premium titles games over freemium games. Consequently we are more likely to evaluate games that are sophisticated, multi-faceted and complex.
