Rig up your claws, secure your seatbelts and get ready for a space adventure in a treasure-filled universe! Claw Stars claims to be a unique take on the claw machine genre. Industry veteran developer Appxplore is striving to achieve this goal by introducing new gameplay elements into the genre. These include rescuing cute animals, raiding your friends treasure stash and decking out your spaceship with unlockable costumes. To further shake things up, elements of casual multiplayer elements and galaxy exploration seem to be incorporated as well. Additionally, there appears to be a pet system, a customizable home base and a capsule toy element on display. Above all, Claw Stars seems nothing if not ambitious in its undertaking.
Claw Stars’ lore is as ambitious as its gameplay. Human scientists were testing survivability in space. As part of these experiments, they launched thousands of hamsters into the void. However, these hamsters became lost in a wormhole. Fortunately for us, they evolved rapidly into little hamster geniuses. Players take control of these hyper-intelligent hamsters, riding in a spaceship across the galaxy in search of treasure. Further, Claw Stars claims that players will also compete with rivals and rescue creatures to restore life to the galaxy.
Pre-registration has just opened to everyone on Android and iOS. Developer Appxplore is promising that all players who pre-register will be able to claim 25 Style Tokens upon the game’s release. Additionally, at 1 million pre-registrations, Appxplore is promising that all pre-registrants will be able to unlock an exclusive spaceship.
