Becoming a Successful Chef
After a massive success with Cooking Fever in 2015, Nordcurrent, the Lithuanian video game developer is back again. This time around, they make us experience a fierce cooking competition in Cooking Fever Duels: Food Wars. The simulation game takes place on the premises of Cooking Fever with an upgrade of live thrilling PVP culinary battles. In this resource management game, the player is a chef with the duty to serve as many clients as possible within a short time. The complexity of the Cooking Fever Duels: Food Wars game, stems from the fact that the player is in a strong battle with another. The competitor has a mission to out-beat the player`s target and win the battles.
Unleash the Chef in You
In Cooking Fever Duels: Food Wars, the gameplay is structured so that at every level, customers come to buy. Every one of them with a specific dish in mind, in conformity with the menu of the restaurants. To emerge victorious at any level, the player has to serve more dishes to the satisfaction of the clients. The player makes use of the available ingredients, bearing in mind that, the opponent might overtake him/her in the process. The restaurants In Cooking Fever Duels: Food Wars are regarded as battlegrounds where the culinary skills of the players take center stage.
The player begins by serving hotdogs, hamburgers, and coffee to the customers behind the counter. An upgrade can be made to the quality of the kitchen utensils With the proceeds gotten from sales. This is where everything goes downward and it becomes tricky. While playing this game, I noticed that my rivals were super-fast. Most times they were already serving the clients while I was still struggling to get the meat from the grill or make the coffee. No matter how many upgrades I made, I was always matched against players who wiped me out quickly. This made me believe that, my opponents were not real but AI generated.
Slow Progression
Getting to the next level in Cooking Fever Duels: Food War was harder and more frustrating than I expected. I had to replay a particular level many times before moving to the next stage. This is because I was paired with players way above my ranking. This gave me zero chance of serving more clients, let alone winning. The game is all about rushing and the touch precision was somehow affecting the smooth play of the game and it was quite frustrating. When you have to serve the client`s food but the tiniest distance from him or her can prevent the dish from going through kind of hinders my success rate.
The customer`s wait time is quite short, making them impatient. While playing the Cooking Fever Duels: Food Wars, it was really hard to meet up with the wait period of the customers. As soon as the food was ready to be served, the clients canceled the orders, making me lose coins. Playing the game felt like a hard nut to crack, as everything seemed to be against me. It was kind of difficult to get the new currencies. Nothing is designed to help you till you upgrade everything to the max.
Fair Points
Regardless of the difficulties encountered while playing the game, I must say that Nordcurrent made it a good game for competitive people. Cooking Fever Duels; Food Wars is better enjoyed by people who love getting to the top in tournaments, and those who are fascinated by the excitement of mounting the success ladder. It is also a cool game for people who like to bond with friends over games. You can add friends, chat with them, and have friendly duels.
Is It Hardcore?
No.
Cooking Fever Duels: Food Wars` layout is too chaotic and not easy to understand.
