It Starts With a Mirror
The land of legendary fables is being torn apart by evil mirror images of themselves! Who could have unleashed such dark magic? Pick a fairy-tale roster and battle across several stages to find the answer in Fable Wars. This stunning RPG from Gamesture takes well-known stars of historical fables and adds a unique spin to them. It’s nice to see some of the more docile characters become skilled warriors in their own right.
Block Fight

Players can join legendary characters such as Red Riding Hood and the three little pigs as they battle across the land. Battles pit your heroes against three enemies at a time. You attack them by tapping on blocks of the same color. The more similar blocks combined, the more powerful a power-up you get. For example, four blocks make a bomb, exploding a handful of blocks around it, and seven makes a cross, which clears blocks horizontally and vertically. Not only do the blocks attack enemies, they also fill up your characters’ skill bar. Each character is associated with an element, and every element is strong and weak against others. Red Hood’s grandmother, for instance, has the fire element, and her skill bar increases when the player’s cleared enough red blocks. Fire is strong against Nature, the green blocks, and Granny’s skill is healing those to her left and right. Every character has a skill to aid them in battle.
There are two different ways to level up your roster. To upgrade the whole team, players can sacrifice other characters they’re not using. You can pick who gets to go yourself or just tap the select max button. But be careful, as sacrificing costs gold. The more characters sacrificed, the more expensive it gets. Thankfully, the player earns gold after every campaign battle. The second way to make characters more powerful is to level up their skills. Raising skill levels costs elixir, which you also win from battles. The player can tap a character card then select the skill upgrade button to start spending elixir. The higher the skill, the more elixir is needed, so spend it wisely. But how do you get characters? Through summoning, of course. Daily summon is available every 24 hours and you never know who you’re going to get. An Epic summon guarantees rare heroes but require summon scrolls to get them for free. The player earns scrolls after battles and they can be bought in the store.
Hero’s Bounty

No game with heroes is complete without quests, and Fable Wars has several. The game divides into three categories: Daily, Weekly and Progress. Dailies are quick and easy to finish, whether it’s starting a campaign battle or leveling up. Weekly quests are often more difficult since they give the player a whole week to finish. Examples include buying items from the store and acquiring several characters. Progress quests are the hardest because they can take forever to complete. Reaching certain team levels and earning over 500k in gold are just a few of those. Beyond quests, players can earn more rewards through exploring. Tap the explore button to check out missions, the portal and more. Missions require specific characters to complete and can last for several hours before earning elixir and other gains. And the portal offers ten levels of increasingly difficult enemies to fight for a whole day, with increasing rewards.
