Film Maker Empire Tycoon is a free-to-play simulation game developed by tycoon game developer Off The Radar. If you were looking forward to creating the next hit movie, you will be severely disappointed. This developer manages to create many idle games that lack any real gameplay and doesn’t live up to its claims.

Film Maker Empire Tycoon Idle ScreenWhen you visit this game’s store page in the Google Play shop, you will see an interesting screenshot of a film studio. Behind that, there is a movie theater that is showing your film. Unfortunately, Film Maker Empire doesn’t look anything like this. Opening the game, you are in for a shock. Instead of that cool high-tech film studio, players are presented with a man standing in an office. Tapping on him will earn money which you can turn into stars. That’s all. There is nothing more to the gameplay.

Off The Radar managed to do a complete bait and switch. This title isn’t anything like what they claimed in the app store. Looking through other tycoon style game list, I saw many reviewers complain of the same thing. Every game they released has the same gameplay. The summary in the app store sounds amazing. It sounds like a real game that has many aspects to enjoy about creating a featured film. Disappointingly, that is not the game delivered at all.

Blooper Reel

Film Maker Empire Tycoon Tapping ScreenFilm Maker Empire won’t win any awards in gameplay or in looks. The design of the game is made in Unity but has all the art style of MS Paint. It’s a very basic design with no real style or originality. Tapping on the character will cause him to start writing a script. When left idle, he will stand there and look around.

When looks and entertainment fail, players are left with music and sound. This title doesn’t manage to create anything exciting there either. It’s an entirely mute game. No sound effects when you tap or when you buy a new star. There isn’t even any background music which is disappointing.

Even though this is a free-to-play title, there isn’t any ads during gameplay. There isn’t anything to buy in a cash shop either, so this is a 100% free game. You would normally expect some ads someplace for a free-to-play game. This would be a great thing if there was any point to playing this game at all. It really doesn’t make sense to have a free game with no visible way to make money. This along with a poorly developed game makes it questionable why Off The Radar even wasted the time. They aren’t making any money off these titles and reviewers are leaving negative reviews.

Box Office Flop

Overall, Film Maker Empire Tycoon doesn’t have anything to offer players. Not only did the developers falsely advertise this title, but the game delivered doesn’t provide any entertainment. Inadequate game play, no creativity in art design and no sound doesn’t make a decent game. It doesn’t even make a game. Solitaire would provide more fun and excitement than this joke of a game.
